safeguarding corporate identity doesn't mean they kept it the same, safeguarding corporate identity is keeping its stance in a market, so it doesn't necessarily mean they never changed they brand itself.
I might rebrand by changing logos or colors, after all it's marketing strategy to rebrand, while the translation you mentioned isn't wrong at all, still a corporate relaunch might include actually a change in identity rather than just rebranding, good luck
