Does 'servizi' heremean something like 'surveys' or 'studies' ?

Raccoglie la documentazione fotografica delle campagne di raccolta di tutte le sezioni effettuate dal Museo sul territorio, nonché costituisce un fondo disponibile per la ricerca di immagini necessarie alla costante attività editoriale del Museo: è informatizzata per la quasi totalità del posseduto.

you can carry out a section if it means taking a petrographic sample in the form of a thin-section but there would probably be other clues if that was what was meant.

@ Anna ... yes, that was my thought exactly ... how can you "carry out" a section? That's why I thought it might mean surveys ... but at the end of the day, Jim is probably right - it simply means sections. I will check with the client in the coming days. Thanks all.

'surveys', 'studies', 'expeditions' a mio avviso "sezioni" è un errore anche perchè il termine che segue "effettuate" implica un'azione.

Sorry... yes! I meant "sezioni" not "servizi" .... the next paragraph was about the library services ... hence the "typo".... as for referring to "sections" of the museum.... no, I don't think so ... but then who knows? It could be.

Hi Phil, I would agree with you but if you look at the link, you see that all the sections of a museum, is a very very standard phrase in Italian museum jargon. The search is on "tutte le sezioni del museo" in inverted commas, which gets 66 hits an extremely high figure for a five word string, compared for example with "high figure for a five word" which gets zero https://www.google.com/search?source=ig&hl=en&rlz=&=&q="high...

I clicked on five just as soon as I saw those results which cover many museums, not just one.

Quite apart from that "campagne ... effettuate" makes perfect sense in the context. Inventing a typo, makes little sense.

neutral philgoddard : This is a possible answer, but it doesn't justify a 5 in my opinion. If it's the meaning, it should say something like "effetuate da tutte le sezioni del museo".
