English term

graves area

English to French Tech/Engineering Construction / Civil Engineering
Bonjour,

Je travaille actuellement sur un document en rapport avec le domaine de la construction.
J'ai peur de faire un faux sens sur "graves area" dans cette phrase :

"The following to retaining wall south of graves area, all as detailed"

Malheureusement, les phrases sont courtes.

Ma proposition (assez boiteuse je l'avoue !) :

"L'élément suivant vers le mur de soutènement au sud de la zone funéraire, tel qu'exposé"

Je vous remercie de votre aide.

Cordialement,

Vincent

Tony M Sep 11, 2015:
Context? Where is this all taking place? Why are they differentiating a 'graves area from... what else? Is it ALL within a cemetery, and this is just the part where there are existing graves (the other part hasn't been used yet)? Or is this the graves area, as distinct from the parking area?
Also, it would help to know what 'the following ... as detailed' actually is... I'm assuming they go on to describe the work to be done?

cimetière

Ce qui suit sert à retenir le mur sud du cimetière, tel que spécifié.

neutral Tony M : 'the following ... as detailed... to be done to the retaining wall...' — it doesn't mean that the work to be done is necessarily actually going to 'servir à retenir' — it's just going to be done TO the reatining wall.

disagree Daryo : it's only about the area where the graves are, not the whole cemetery
