Health and safety
Hi,
This term appears in an information sheet about health and safety, and the risks associated with machinery and tools.
The full sentence is:
"Le risque est d'autant plus élevé que la pression de temps conduit à des prises de risque (décapotage, oublie des procédures de confinement, vitesse...)"
It is from France and needs to be translated into UK English.
Many thanks for your help.

The additional information supplied by the Asker seems to support the use of the more general term "cover", rather than the more specific "hood".

Discussion
It first lists the different forms of mechanical risk and what the consequences could be such as "coincement (d'une pièce, d'un doigt, d'un membre...), pincement, entraînement (d'une pièce, d'un vêtement, d'une chevelure...), cisaillement, écrasement, projection : de liquide, de vapeur, de poussières, de pièces détachées, de la pièce en cours d'usinage, de copeaux..., choc (par un véhicule ou sa charge)."
Then it is followed by the sentence that I posted in the question.
Thanks for your help.
