Another thing to do is make sure we are using REALITY thinking instead of UN-REALITY Thinking. That’s the kind of thinking that takes a situation and creates all kinds of un-realistic and usually negative perceptions about it. Here are some common examples of UN-Reality thinking:

Magnifying: This is amplifying the degree or intensity of a problem, like saying that “this will RUIN everything!” In reality, it might create a few problems, but is it really likely to RUIN EVERYTHING!?

Mind Reading: This one happens when you assume you know the reasons why others act as they do. You don’t know the reasons, unless they tell you, so don’t jump to conclusions. Making assumptions has created many a disaster in history.
