Guidelines for assessing scissoring of pedestrian crossings:
1. Traffic islands must have a minimum width of 1.5 m measured between opposite guardrails before scissoring is appropriate, but preferably 2.0 m. This corresponds to approx. min. 2 to 2.5 m width of the island itself in the middle of the scissors (depending on fence location). Greater widths are desirable, especially with high pedestrian traffic.
2. If the crossing is not signal regulated, scissoring may be used if it is in the right direction to see approaching vehicles and if it is also appropriate in relation to the natural direction of walking. If either of these criteria is not present, scissoring is not used in places that are not signal regulated.
3. Scissoring is not to be established so that both walking directions will be turned away from oncoming traffic. (Scissoring the "wrong" way.). Scissoring is not normally established in such a way that one walking direction is turned away. (When traffic on both sides of the island is in the same direction.) See exceptions to this in section s 4 and 5.
4. If the crossing is signal controlled and phased so that the crossing takes place in two phases / two light sections, scissoring should be strongly considered and sought if there is a risk that light signals can be misunderstood. However, if pedestrians in a direction are turned away from oncoming vehicle, the traffic island should be so broad that the guide fence can be pulled into the traffic island so that scissoring happens inside the island.
5. If the crossing is signal controlled and phased so that the crossing will occur in one phase, Scissoring should be considered only if the traffic island is sufficiently wide th at the lead fence and / or natural direction
of traffic flow is diagonal. If this means that a direction will look away from approaching vehicles, scissoring should be designed as a real S, i.e. retracted guide rails, so that people naturally turn back to a right angle at he crossing point.

Ponieważ "scissoring" nie występuje w sieci w przedmiotowym znaczeniu, myślę, że podobnie nieguglujące się "labiryntowanie" może być dobrym odpowiednikiem - jeśli nie, to można używać jednego lub kilka wyrażeń dwuwyrazowych (jak wyżej).

Ponieważ "scissoring" nie występuje w sieci w przedmiotowym znaczeniu, myślę, że podobnie nieguglujące się "labiryntowanie" może być dobrym odpowiednikiem - jeśli nie, to można używać jednego lub kilka wyrażeń dwuwyrazowych (jak wyżej).
