Spanish to English Law/Patents Law (general) transcript of a hearing
This appears at the beginning of a few of the paragraphs in the transcript of the hearing. Does it refer to a physical document, hence 'statement'/'declaration' or does it mean something like 'at the point'?

e.g. En este estado la parte actora se reserva la posibilidad de citar o conducir en su caso al testigo XXX, para el caso de que la parte demandada no pueda cumplir con la carga de la comparecencia asumida.

I think it refers to something like "at this stage of the process (proceeding, etc.).
