site de route

français vers anglais Marketing Ordinateurs (général)
This appears in the answer to a market research question, asking how respondents would make the decision about which computer to buy. One respondent says "recherche sur les sites des routes etc". Does anyone have any ideas on this? Many thanks.

Alison Curran (asker) Dec 24, 2009:
Thanks for everyone's efforts. I'm sorry but there really isn't any more context and I have given the full sentence as it was written. The document is a transcript of a discussion group with young people about technology. I think it must be some sort of website - but what??? A transcription error is quite possible.

Or should i say give us the full sentence ... cause i agree with phil about websites but don't see how "routes" fit in... may be a transcription error ?
shanasan Dec 24, 2009:
more context please
philgoddard Dec 23, 2009:
Sites is obviously websites. Could it be something like price comparison websites, or review sites?

Note from asker:
Many thanks for your suggestion and for the careful notes. This was quite difficult in view of the lack of context but I think it probably referred to a type of website. In the end I opted for 'review site' (ie a 'site which points you in the right direction').
