English term

Feedstock vs. Raw materials

English to Italian Tech/Engineering Energy / Power Generation Refinery processes
I'm translating a general overview of the refinery process. The document refers to crude oil and natural gas as raw materials and later on says that "all refineries are different regarding their configuration, process integration, feedstock and feedstock flexibility".
I can't understand if the two terms are synonyms or if both must be translated "materie prime"
Thank you in advance

materie prime (o materie greggie)

Secondo me puoi rendere ambedue con "materie prime" (o greggie).

Ble nome sardo in Canada :-)

apprrovvigionamenti vs.materie prime

They are basically synonyms, with a slight difference.
Raw material is a general definition, regardless the context (iron, oil, etc.)
Feedstock is raw material in its employment in industrial or production processes (as far as used in industrial production).
So, 'approvvigionamenti' vs. 'matrie prime'

neutral Maria Vita Licata : I don't think "approvvigionamenti" fits, here.
