Honors at AUC was translated مرتبة الشرف, but this person did not graduate with either Honors, High Honors, or Highest Honors. Still I think the word "honors" still means شرف

: Exactly, certificates are all about cliches. The trick is to use the right cliche with the right culture. Going literal here is hardly a good idea.
