I'm sorry, John. Will do so next time around :) So it is "render an award in law" or "pronounce a decision in law," right?
John Rynne Mar 1, 2008:
It's a good idea to highlight the ***query term*** with asterisks in the context of a lengthy paragraph. I presume your problem is with "laudo en derecho" Why oblige me to read the paragraph 3 times to make sure there isn't another "en derecho" elsewhere?
María Eugenia Wachtendorff (asker) Mar 1, 2008:
Hola. Estoy hecha nudos con "en derecho" en la frase "pronunciar un laudo en derecho" :(
Gad Kohenov Mar 1, 2008:
Trade law is derecho mercantil. Are you looking for derecho comercial? It's the same according to Babylon.

decision in arbitration in law

there is "arbitration in law" and "arbitration in equity". Laudo is an decision in arbitration
Peer comment(s):

agree Sheilann : Exactly. The alternative would be arbitration in equity.

Carajo! I didn't read all of it. Laudo is ruling or finding. So this could be "to give a ruling".

Yes asteriks are a good idea indeed, used by many here.
