I think 'chart' is a bit of a misnomer here, and I certainly wouldn't consider this as any kind of 'mire' — the FR wording on my printer driver certainly says 'page de test'
The 5% of course just means that the text etc. covers 5% of the area of the page, thus giving you an idea of how much ink is being used.
