English term

bilge

English to Polish Medical Medical (general) Clinical study
The term has been mentioned in keywords to a clinical study on the use of bioadhesives in neurosurgical procedures. I have checked all my medical and general dictionaries and the only term I found refers to Nautical field. No good then. Does anyone know what "bilge" may mean in neurosurgical context? Thank you :)
Proposed translations (Polish)

Non-ProZ.com Jul 1, 2005:
A note regarding the term "bilge" Well, the term does not occur in the text even once. It is a clinical study written in Australian English so maybe that`s the reason why I could not find its medical meaning in any English (UK) general dictionaries. I like the theory that it has been misspelled (bilge instead of bulge) as somebody suggested, though. Unfortunately, the word "bulge" has not been mentioned in the text either so I am a bit confused. I`ll have to write to the author but THANK YOU for trying. :)

I assume it doesn't appear elsewhere, only with no context in keywords?
