Bio
I am a retired University professor; holder of BVM&S in Veterinary Sciences, Baghdad University, Iraq and a PhD in Genetics, Edinburgh University (1973), UK.
I am now on a Highly Skilled Migrant Visa (Work Permit), living in Plymouth, UK.
I am currently a visiting professor at the School of Biological Sciences, University of Plymouth, UK.
I have an extensive experience in translation. I translated several textbooks and references from English to Arabic and many other reports from Arabic to English.
I was a member of the committee that translated AGROVOC (FAO agricultural Thesaurus - 2000) and a member of the committee that put and compiled the Arab Agricultural Dictionary published by AOAD, League of Arab States.
I also translated many important documents to the FAO in Iraq.
I am ready to handle translation jobs in the field of medicine, including human and animal as well as biological sciences.
