English to Arabic: Sample on Literary Translation
Source text - English soft, snuffling sound from the heart of the cave caused Durotan to turn. His harsh face, lined and held in perpetual tautness from years of worry and anger, softened at the noise. His little son, as yet unnamed until the ordained Naming Day of this cycle, had cried out as he was being fed. Leaving Sharptooth to continue watching the snowfall, Durotan rose and lumbered back to the cave’s inner chamber. Draka had bared a breast for the child to suckle upon, and had just removed the infant from his task. So that was why the child had whimpered.
Translation - Arabic التفت دوروتان بوجهه نحو صوت خنفرة رقيق متقطع صادر من قلب الكوخ الذي يقطن فيه، وقد رقت ملامح وجهه القاسية التي تشابكت أثارها مع سنوات القلق والغضب إلى الصوت الذي يحدثه مولوده الصغير أثناء رضاعته، والذي لم يسمه بعد إذ لم تحن مراسم هذا اليوم.
نهض دوروتان بعد أن فتر شغفه في مواصلة مشاهدة تساقط الثلج عائدًا إلى الغرفة الداخلية من الكوخ حيث تقبع زوجته دراكا التي كشفت عن صدرها لإرضاع وليدها والذي كانت من فورها قد أنهت مهمة إرضاعه، ولذا زمجر الطفل متذمرًا نتيجة لذلك.
