Bio
I worked as a salaried translator from 1979 to 1985 when I went free-lance. I have been mainly working in the data processing field (hardware, software, localization, process control, artificial intelligence). Also translated Pagemaker v4.0 for PC into French. Translation of press releases for DECPROFESSIONNEL FRANCE and DEFENCE (GB). Translation of technical manuals and specifications for Sericol and Eurotherm Automation (UK). Translation of technical documents for various car manufacturers (Renault, Volvo, Toyota). Translation of a large number of industrial projects for THOMSON-CSF and Jeumont Schneider Industrie. Translation of a guidebook for Mexico (Baedeker - Hachette). Translated all of the French versions of FIX and iFIX and supervised the German, Italian, Spanish, Polish and Russian versions for Intellution, Emerson, now GE Fanuc. I fully localized each of the French versions, i.e. translated, compiled, built the Install CD and even ran a number of QA tests.
