A number of complementary activities are part of the CIDA funded project and include the enhancement of the knowledge, skills and competencies of forensic scientists and identification specialists in the areas e.g. physical trace evidence analysis, firearms and toolmark identification (illicit drugs identification, fire accelerants, paint, trace evidence characterization and identification, firearm ammunition and toolmark characterization, classification and identification, forensic document examination etc).
