I have Copernic, Yahoo and Google. Google doesn't always seem to have everything indexed, though it is useful to have on your computer as it can sometimes save you if you haven't saved something for a while and your computer crashes (just cut and paste from the Google copy, although you'll lose the formatting).
Copernic has, I would say, the best features, but it crashes when opening txt files of more than half a megabyte. On the other hand, it works really well with large pdf files... See more

Yahoo is the quickest at opening txt files and most other file types. Its big downfall though, for anyone translating FROM a language other than English, is that it does not work well at all with accents. Whether you search for a word with or without the accent, the program just does not seem to want to find it.
I'd have liked to have had more information in the article about the speed and user-friendliness of the other search programs. ▲ Collapse
