Sentence Inversion:
ST: Luego de graduarse, sus padres le dieron un auto. TT: She was given a car after graduation.
Correcto sería: Después de graduarse....

De WordReference.com:

Luego de llegar a casa, se preparó la cena".
"Después de llegar a casa, se preparó la cena".
"Tras llegar a casa, se preparó la cena".

Se entienden las tres perfectamente. Sin embargo, cuando menos en México, usamos más comúnmente "Después de". "Luego de" aquí es muy común en los noticieros, no tanto en el habla común. Finalmente, "Tras", no se utiliza comúnmente, pero lo leo mucho en textos científicos y literarios.
