This is a fantastic article for any translator who is a people pleaser. I know that when I first started, I would always make myself available for jobs even when I wasn't and at times the jobs were beyond my word output. But, now I've learned as many have that if your busy tell the client "I'm Busy", if it's too technical tell them, and if it's going to be late tell them ASAP. Even though they might not like to hear that, they'll be much happier with honesty.
