当一位西方人听到某人说 "I can only speak a little English” 时，他会误认为此人还是能说不少基本的英语。

是的。我家所有人中现在口语最棒的是英语才学了3年多的小孙女。相比之下，那学了多年英语且在 TOEFL、GRE等考试中过五关、斩六将的MS和PhD都相形见拙！:D

前不久去超市购物。见到一位7、8岁的中国小男孩在给他奶奶当翻译。他奶奶看来十分自豪。

是这样. 童年是学习语言的黄金时代. 往后就难些, 但并不是不可能达到很高水平的.
