أرجو وضع مزيد من السياق لمعرفة ما إذا كانت كلمة معيد تشير إلى أستاذ الترجمة الأدبية، مع وجود فارق كبير بين المصطلحين، أم لا؟

Amanda Hopkinson is Visiting Professor in Literary Translation at City University London. She is also a Visiting Professor at Manchester University. From 2004 until last year she was Professor of Literary Translation and Director of the British Centre for Literary Translation at the University of East Anglia. She translates from Spanish, Portuguese and French, focusing mainly on contemporary fiction from Latin America.

درجة الاستاذية تعتبر بمثابة الدرجة العليا فى مجال البحث العلمى، و تمنح فى مجال علمى محدد بدقة مثل الهندسة أو الفيزياء أو الفلسفة أو الرياضيات أو الأداب و غيرها. لذلك يلقب الحاصل على هذه الدرجة تحديدا بأستاذ دكتور فى العلوم الهندسة أو الفيزيائية أو الرياضية و ما الى ذلك.

neutral Randa Farhat : لكن الجملة تقول أنه معيد، والمعيد هو الطالب في برنامج الماجستير الذي يدرّس طلبة البكالوريوس، أي أنه لا يكون حاصلاً على الماجستير بعد، ولذلك قلت أن أستاذ هنا كلمة عامة ولا تعني بروفيسور حامل لدرجة الدكتوراه ما لم ينص النص على ذلك بوضوح
