"Avoid applications of fertilisers containing nitrogen late in the growing season.
Unfortunately, on occasions it will prove impossible to prevent microdochium patch by cultural means alone and an approved turf fungicide may need to be applied.
Where there is a need to minimise damage there is the option to apply a fungicide preventatively towards the end of the summer, ahead of high disease pressure weather.
Preventative fungicides will reduce the level and aggressiveness of any damage."
