Reducing one operating parameter to compensate for changes in other parameters to maintain reliability. For example, the reduction in output power at elevated temperatures.

Derating është një term që i me fjalë të tjera dio të thotë "ri përcaktim në ulje e vlerës/nivelit të një parametri". Fjalori politeknik e sugjeron vetëm si "i ndryshuar" por unë kam bindjen se ky duhet përcaktuar më mirë se çfarë ndryshimi.
