I fartøjer med mere end 1 person om bord skal der være en kejs eller sele, der kan anvendes til bjærge en overbordfalden. Når den overbordfaldne er anbragt i kejsen eller selen skal denne kunne bjærges om bord med mekanisk hjælp.

"Ordbog over det danske Sprog" defines this as a boathook, but the text seems to suggest a basket, or something that a man can be placed into.

Sorry, my answer meant to read "rescue pole". The "Matesaver" is one tyope of this.
