"Today, a major use of FRT plywood is as roof sheathing in multifamily dwellings at party-separation walls. In dwellings such as townhouses and condomini- ums, some building codes allow the use of 4 ft (12.2 m) of FRT plywood as roof sheathing at the party-separation wall in lieu of a fire-rated parapet extending above the roof line."
A firewall is a vertical partition. But a "brandkamerstatning" is a substitute for a parapet ("brandkam") that is installed horizontally, to prevent fire from spreading along the underside of a roof.
