Dzięki finansowemu wsparciu Ministra Kultury i Dziedzictwa Narodowego Muzeum pozyskało na własność trzy obrazy z kolekcji rodziny Tarnowskich z Dzikowa.

W 1939 roku rodzina Tarnowskich złożyła w depozycie w Muzeum Narodowym w Krakowie duży zespół zabytków pochodzących z jej kolekcji dzikowskiej. Od roku 1959 w Muzeum Czartoryskich w Krakowie w ekspozycji malarstwa zachodnioeuropejskiego znalazły się również liczne obrazy z depozytu Tarnowskich, współtworząc z dziełami Muzeum Narodowego bardzo mocną sekwencję sztuki malarskiej epoki baroku.
