Bio
Born into a bilingual family, I grew up speaking fluent English, Amharic, and Tigrinya. Throughout my career, I have worked as a translator in various technical areas, primarily in the fields of Medicine, Law, Technology, IT and General translation. I am now offering my services as a freelance translator and would like to submit my attached resume for your consideration. To summarize my experience and knowledge, I have over five years of experience as a translator and am passionate about this work. Technically, I am proficient in a wide range of CAT tools, such as SDL Trados, Memsource cloud, MemoQ, Subtitle Edit, and many others. I continue to stay abreast of the latest technologies in this field. I have been using SDL Trados 2021 software for more than five years, and I am familiar with it. I also have a personal Memsource account.
My rate for translation services is 0.07 USD per source word, and I can translate up to 2500 words per day. For proofreading services, my rate is 0.025 USD per source word, or 14 USD per hour, and I can proofread up to 4000 words per day. And for MTPE, it's 0.035 USD per source word.
