Spanish term
fin de semana de calidad
Spanish to English
Bus/Financial
Business/Commerce (general)
Human Resources
Hello! I am currently translating employee feedback questionnaires (the employees work in a mobile phone store/technology store) and "fin de semana de calidad" comes up a few times. For example:
Más fines de semana libres (sábados) sin ser de calidad.
Queremos poder elegir todos los fines de semana de calidad del año, como antes.
limitación de poder pedir findes de calidad junto a vacaciones.
From my understanding, this terms refers to having a weekend with more than just one day off. So, some options I've though of are: long weekend (although this gives the impression of a 3-day weekend at least in English), 2-day weekend, consecutive days off (I'm not sure if this terms refers literally to "weekend" or simply time off).
Based on some research online, it seems this could be either a:
2-day weekend (https://comercioygrandesalmacenes.fesmcugt.org/2019/03/01/ug...
3-day weekend (https://www.elespanol.com/invertia/empresas/distribucion/202...
4-day weekend (http://opositandoquenoespoco.blogspot.com/2016/07/fin-de-sem...
Does anyone know the correct term or an accurate equivalent in English (US)?
Thank you!

(request for) extended time off/vacation day(s) over specific weekends
I used to have a job where I would put in a written request to take a day off around a holiday weekend, which would give me a four-day-in-a-row break. It was called "taking a vacation day". Vacation days accumulated depending on how many full-time hours an employee had worked, over a specific period of time.

4-day weekend
Many countries also have four-day weekends, in which two days adjoining the weekend are holidays. Examples are Good Friday / Easter Monday, and Christmas Day / Boxing Day (e.g. when Christmas Day occurs on a Thursday or Monday).

not too sure about this but maybe plausible...

this is 1 day more than a "fin de semana largo"

Discussion
Long weekend - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Long_weekendA long weekend is a weekend that is at least three days long (i.e. a three-day weekend), due to a public or unofficial holiday occurring on either the following Monday or preceding Friday.
Many countries also have four-day weekends, in which two days adjoining the weekend are holidays. Examples are Good Friday / Easter Monday, and Christmas Day / Boxing Day (e.g. when Christmas Day occurs on a Thursday or Monday). Four day "bridge" weekends
In many countries, when a lone holiday occurs on a Tuesday or a Thursday, the day between the holiday and the weekend may also be designated as a holiday, set to be a movable or floating holiday, or work/school may be interrupted by consensus unofficially. This is typically referred to by a phrase involving "bridge" in many languages; for example in some Spanish-speaking countries the term is puente ("bridge") or simply "fin de semana largo".

Here is another example: http://opositandoquenoespoco.blogspot.com/2016/07/fin-de-sem... (but this differs, and this "fin de semana de calidad" states 4 rest days, based on a regular Monday through Friday job. Country(ies) not stated.
In the same link, it alludes to 1 extra day being given every trimestre.

Cuando pienses en pasar las vacaciones o un **fin de semana de calidad** en una de las ciudades más bonitas de Brasil [...]. It just means a "quality weekend", I think.
La definición de fin de semana de calidad de este artículo es la que comprende el descanso de sábado y domingo o domingo y lunes, which seems to imply a 2-day weekend. In my country, apart from special categories of workers, most corporate entities work a 40 hour week, or 5 days a week with Saturdays and Sundays off (in my country, at least). Regards.
