Kilgray Translation Technologies releases memoQ 2014 R2



 
memoQ 2014 R2 offers a wealth of productivity boosters for individual translators, translation teams, translation companies and other companies alike.
 
Individual translators can create collaborative translation memories (TM) and term bases (TB), and share these resources with up to 3 other memoQ users through Language Terminal. Sharing TM and TB resources was a primary reason why some translators were considering the memoQ cloud server solution. With the introduction of TM and TB sharing through Language Terminal, we provide individual translators with the ability to use this valuable collaborative functionality for free.
Additionally, Kilgray has focused on rendering memoQ 2014 R2 more streamlined by introducing the “ribbon”, providing a cleaner and more user-friendly interface; there are no longer rows of links below the project list or the other tabs. The ribbon allows more space, greater discoverability and better workflow logic.
A much welcomed aspect of memoQ 2014 R2 is the Web-based project management enabling project managers to create, run and completely manage their projects through a web browser.
memoQ 2014 R2 also boasts a more user-friendly segmentation rules editor. Non-techies can introduce a new abbreviation while translating, and memoQ re-segments the document on the fly. To enable easier and more efficient translation memory maintenance, the translation memory editor has been dramatically improved in memoQ 2014 R2. memoQ is now totally compatible with SDL WorldServer’s XLZ and WSXZ file formats.
